“Don’t ask what the world needs.
Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs
is people who have come alive.” -Howard Thurman
I started at the Pacific Ocean in Huntington Beach, California on February 20 ...
... and after 2,604 miles, 1498 photos, 46 days,
10 states, 9 flat tires, 4 pairs of sunglasses (I kept breaking them), 2 cross-country bicyclists I met and
1 pair of cycling socks,
I arrived at the Atlantic Ocean in St. Simons Island, Georgia on April 6. :)

About Steve
My name is Steve Garufi. I am an avid cyclist, hiker, photographer
and Colorado poster child in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor - a "talk therapist" for work.
In 2008, I biked across America for the first time,
and I'm so grateful to have this second cross-country tour under my belt. :)
