Lazy Day In Collierville, Tennessee
Today was a rest day. I had nothing on the agenda whatsoever.
In the afternoon, Charles showed me yesterday's video footage
as I biked those final two miles to his house. Ahhh to have videos like that everyday! ;)
The beautiful town square of Collierville.
In Collierville, we ate at Mensi's Dairy Bar, a walk-up restaurant with no seating and long-time fixture.
We sat at the town square with our food. My burger was adequate, and my butterscotch milkshake was sublime.
We visited Rider Performance Cycles on the square. Inside, we met Walt Rider,
who has designed his own line of bicycles and has a bike shop operation.
We had a
nice talk about his former cycling racing days in the 1980s and various topics about long distance cycling.
He said he biked the entire Natchez Trace Parkway years ago and would love to bike across America someday.
